Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Intelligence Edge Pty Ltd (ACN 697 219 766) ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. It applies to:
- Our website at intelligenceedge.com.au
- The Intelligence Edge mobile application for iOS and Android
- Our prediction API, where accessed by an authorised account holder
Together these are our "Services". We are an Australian company based in Sydney, New South Wales, and we are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What Intelligence Edge does. We operate a statistical prediction engine that forecasts the outcome of sports matches from publicly available historical results, fixture data and weather data. The app displays what our engine predicts. It is not a betting service, not a gambling product, and not financial advice. You cannot place a bet, wager, or deposit money through our Services, and we do not accept or hold customer funds.
Questions or concerns? If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use our Services. If you have questions, contact us at support@intelligenceedge.com.au.

1. What information do we collect?
Information you give us
In short: An email address and a password if you create an account. Your name and message if you contact us.
The personal information we collect depends on how you use our Services:
| What | When we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account in the mobile app, so we can identify your account and contact you about it |
| Password | When you create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form and cannot be read by us |
| Display name or preferences | Optionally, if you set them in your profile |
| Name, email and message | If you contact us or submit an enquiry form on our website |
| Business contact details | If you enquire about API or commercial access on behalf of an organisation |
All personal information you provide should be true and accurate, and you should let us know if it changes.
Information collected automatically
In short: Basic technical and diagnostic data needed to run and secure the Services.
- Log data. Our servers record standard request logs, including IP address, request time, the endpoint accessed and the response status. We use these to operate, secure and debug the Services.
- Device and diagnostic data. If the app encounters an error, we may receive diagnostic information such as the app version, device model and operating system version. This is used to fix faults.
- Approximate location. An IP address indicates an approximate region, typically at city or country level. We do not request access to your device's location services and we do not collect GPS or precise location data.
- Account activity. We record when your account was created and when you last signed in, so we can keep your account secure and identify accounts that are no longer in use.
Information we do not collect
To be explicit, we do not collect any of the following through our Services:
- Precise or GPS location
- Payment card numbers or bank account details
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files
- Health, fitness or biometric data
- Advertising identifiers, or any data used for cross-app or cross-site tracking
- Sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or criminal record
- Betting accounts, wagering history or gambling activity — we do not offer these services
Payments
The Intelligence Edge app is currently free to use and we do not process payments. If we introduce paid subscriptions in future, payment will be handled by Apple, Google or a regulated payment processor. Those providers process your payment details under their own privacy policies. We would receive confirmation that a subscription is active, but not your full card number.
2. How do we use your information?
In short: To run your account, deliver predictions, keep the Services secure, and answer you when you contact us.
- To provide the Services. Creating and authenticating your account, keeping you signed in, and delivering the predictions and results the app displays.
- To support you. Responding to your questions, requests and reports.
- To keep the Services secure. Detecting and preventing unauthorised access, abuse and fraud, and investigating incidents.
- To maintain and improve the Services. Diagnosing faults, understanding which features are used, and improving reliability and performance.
- To send you service messages. Account, security and administrative notices, and changes to our terms or this policy.
- To send you marketing, only if you opt in. We will only send marketing email if you have asked to receive it, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To meet our legal obligations. Complying with Australian law and responding to lawful requests.
We do not use your personal information to train the prediction engine. Our engine is built from publicly available match results, fixtures and weather data. It does not use, and does not benefit from, information about individual users.
3. When and with whom do we share your information?
In short: With a small number of service providers who help us run the Services, and where the law requires it. We do not sell your information.
We use the following service providers. Each has access only to the information needed to perform its function:
| Provider | Purpose | Personal information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, database and storage, Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region | All account and log data, held in Australia |
| Netlify | Website hosting and delivery | Standard web request data such as IP address |
| Google Analytics | Website visitor analytics, only after you consent | Website usage data. Not used in the mobile app |
| Apple, Google | App distribution through the App Store and Google Play | Handled by them under their own privacy policies |
We also read data from public sports and weather sources, including fixture and results data and forecast data from Open-Meteo. These are one-way: we retrieve public information from them and send them no personal information about you.
Beyond the above, we may disclose personal information:
- Where the law requires it, including in response to a valid legal request, court order, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
- To protect people or the Services, where disclosure is reasonably necessary to prevent serious harm, fraud or a security threat.
- In a business transfer, if we merge with, are acquired by, or sell assets to another company. If that happens we will notify account holders before their information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not disclose it to data brokers or advertising networks.
4. Cookies, analytics and tracking
In short: Analytics on the website only, and only if you accept. No advertising, no tracking across other companies' apps or sites.
Website
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are viewed and where visitors arrive from. Analytics is off by default: no analytics cookies are set unless you accept our cookie notice. If you decline, none are set. This data is aggregated, and it is never sold or shared for advertising purposes. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle it.
Most browsers accept cookies by default and let you remove or reject them in settings. Rejecting cookies may affect some site features.
Mobile app
The Intelligence Edge app does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Your authentication token is stored in the secure storage provided by your device's operating system so that you stay signed in, and it is removed when you sign out.
Tracking
We do not track you. Specifically, we do not link your data with data from third parties for advertising, we do not share your data with data brokers, and we do not use the Advertising Identifier. We therefore do not ask for permission to track under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, because we do not carry out the activity that framework governs.
5. How long do we keep your information?
In short: For as long as your account is open, and then only where the law requires.
We keep account information for as long as you have an account with us. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information from our active systems.
Some information may persist for a limited period after deletion:
- Encrypted backups are retained for seven days and are then overwritten. Information held in a backup is isolated from any further processing until it is overwritten.
- Server logs containing IP addresses are retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes.
- Records we must keep by law, such as financial or tax records, are retained for the period the law requires.
Prediction data itself contains no personal information. It concerns sports fixtures and results, and is retained indefinitely as part of our audited historical record.
6. How do we protect your information?
In short: Encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, and access limited to what is necessary.
- All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. We cannot read your password, and we will never ask you for it.
- Our database is encrypted at rest and is not reachable from the public internet.
- Credentials are held in a managed secrets service, not in application code.
- Access to production systems is restricted to those who need it to operate the Services.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Children and young people
In short: Our Services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Our Services are intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not market to them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@intelligenceedge.com.au and we will delete the account and the associated data promptly.
8. What are your privacy rights?
In short: You can access, correct and delete your information, and opt out of marketing at any time.
Access and correction. You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have inaccurate information corrected. Contact us using the details in how can you contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period, and in any case within 30 days.
Deletion. You can delete your account and the personal information attached to it. See how to delete your account.
Withdrawing consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your information, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place, or processing we carry out on another lawful basis.
Marketing. We only send marketing email if you have opted in. You can opt out using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us. We will still send you service messages about your account, because they are necessary to provide the Services.
Complaints. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. How to delete your account
In short: You can delete your account from inside the app, and it takes effect immediately.
Open the app, go to Profile, then Delete account, and confirm. Your account and the personal information attached to it are removed straight away.
If you cannot access the app, email support@intelligenceedge.com.au from the address registered to the account, with the subject "Delete my account", and we will action it within 30 days.
However you request it, when a deletion is actioned:
- Your account and login credentials are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
- Your email address, profile details and preferences are deleted from our active systems.
- Encrypted backups containing your information are overwritten within seven days.
- We retain only what the law requires us to keep, and it is not used for any other purpose.
Deletion in the app is immediate and no confirmation email is sent. If you request deletion by email, we will confirm once it is complete. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account.
10. Controls for do-not-track features
Most browsers and some mobile operating systems offer a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") setting. No uniform standard for recognising DNT signals has been finalised, so we do not currently respond to them. This has limited practical effect on our Services, because we do not track users across other companies' sites or apps in the first place, and our website analytics are off unless you accept them. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this policy.
11. Australian privacy rights and other regions
Australia
We collect and process personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy is our APP 5 notice: it sets out what we collect, why we collect it, who we disclose it to, and how you can access, correct or complain about it.
If you choose not to provide the personal information we ask for, it may affect our ability to:
- create and maintain an account for you
- confirm your identity and protect your account
- respond to your requests or provide support
We store personal information in Australia, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the Sydney region.
Other regions
Our Services are directed at users in Australia. If you access them from elsewhere, you may have additional rights under your local law, including rights of access, correction, deletion and portability. Contact us and we will handle your request in accordance with the law that applies to you.
12. Do we make updates to this policy?
In short: Yes, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a prominent notice on our website or the app, or by emailing account holders. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
